Debra Claffey has exhibited regularly since graduating from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Her work was included in the very first issue of New American Paintings published by Open Studios Press. She won the Bank of New Hampshire Award at the 1996 New Hampshire Art Association exhibit at the Currier Gallery of Art in Manchester, NH.
She is a member of the New England Wax, a group of artists working in encaustic (N.E.W), the New Hampshire Art Association, the Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester, VT, and the Sharon Arts Center in Peterborough, NH. She currently serves as the Web Site Chair of the New Hampshire Chapter of Women’s Caucus for Art.
